How to use Sock Sorters

All socks should be paired with a Sock Sorter at all times, except, of course, whilst being worn! Put all clean socks into Sock Sorters straight away.

1. When removing dirty socks place into an additional Sock Sorter.
2. Place dirty socks, complete with Sock Sorter, into your laundry for washing and line or machine drying.
3. Return clean socks to storage with Sock Sorter still in place.
4. Take the Sock Sorter off the clean socks to wear and keep the Sock Sorter for later use, as in 1. above.

Remember to use different coloured Sock Sorters for each year/dormitory/family member, for ease of identification.

Please try a few Sock Sorters through your washing process to ensure that they are suitable for your machines.

How to Place Socks into Sock Sorter

When removing dirty socks, take the top (cleanest) end of the socks and flatten them together to make a corner (as the left hand pair of socks below). Squeeze the corner through the Sock Sorter and pull through (as the right hand pair of socks).

Thick games socks do not have to be pulled all the way through and will remain paired throughout wahsing and drying if only partially inserted.
